Anthology Recordings
The following is from NPR
Day to Day, February 7, 2008 - When out-of-print albums command hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars, Internet users take to the blogs to download low-quality MP3s of poorly kept vinyl. It's hard to blame hardcore seekers who have given up on finding rare '70s psychedelic-rock records that had been privately pressed in scant numbers. That's where Anthology Recordings comes in.
Label founder Keith Abrahamsson began Anthology Recordings to bring lost psychedelic, hard rock, soul, and punk gems to the digital age. The label's diverse roster resurrects albums by The Exciters, Baby Grandmothers, Sir Lord Baltimore, and Skip Spence of Jefferson Airplane and Moby Grape. Anthology also digitizes select recordings from respected reissue labels around the world, including Sunbeam Records, Sundazed Music, and Japan's EM Records.
