Mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle

One of the most long lasting mysteries in popular culture, is the Bermuda Triangle. I thas been talked about, books written and movies made. There are many opinions and just as many resources. I cannot really add to the discussion, so I will just point the reader to some intresting things:

ENCYCLOPEDIA: BERMUDA TRIANGLE,
also called the Devil's Triangle, area of the Atlantic Ocean bounded roughly by southern Florida, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda. According to mariners' legends dating from the 1800s, many ships have disappeared while sailing in this part of the ocean. In the 20th century a number of airplanes have also been reported missing in the triangle. The legends also suggest that the disappearances are of a supernatural nature because wreckage or other remains have seldom been found. Scientific studies of available data have tended to debunk the legends, although it is known that the area is the site of sudden, violent storms and strong ocean currents. Mariners and aviators continue to pass through the Bermuda Triangle without being subjected to any unusual, unexplained events.
